Trekking in East Nepal Region includes an eastern approach to Everest, Rolwalng, the Makalu Base camp and the Kanchenjunga. The eastern region of Nepal is remote. So, it is not so popular like other region (Annpurna, Langtang, Everest) but this region have endless variety of places to explore, hiking climbing and village excursion tour. East Nepal region have the ethnic cast like Rai, Tamang, Sherpa, Limbu etc having their own culture. The places like Basantapur, Dhankuta, Hile, Khandbari and Bhojpur are prosperous and clean. This area is also famous for tea growing area, Ilam tea is famous in Nepal and India belongs to this region. To make trips to eastern mountains, either domestic flight or long journey by bus is necessary. The main domestic airports are Tumlingtar, Lamidada and Taplejung which have direct connection with Katmandu.
