Lhasa Kailash Tour

A Pilgrimage Tour To Kailash & Lake Mansarovar In Tibet from Nepal. Mt. Kailash (6714 m) – also known as Tise, Kailasa or Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the Snows) has since time immemorial been celebrated in many Eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis-mundi. As the center of the physical & metaphysical universe, Mt. Meru (Kailash) is sacred to the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Jains, and the Bonpos. After visiting the palaces and monasteries of Lhasa, Gyantse and Shigatse travel by 4-WD jeeps across the Tibetan Highlands, following the great Yarlung Tsangpo river valley, to the sacred landscape of Lake Manasarovar and Mount Kailash. After exploring the lake and surrounding area we will follow the 3-day pigrim trail around the holy mountain to complete the kora or parikrama. Afterwards, driver back to Lhasa or by way of the Friendship Highway to Kathamndu in Nepal.

Visit Potala Palace, Norbulinka, Drepung & Sera Monasteries, Jokhang Temple, And Barkhor Bazaar. Hotel.

Day 6-7GYANTSE - SHIGATSE - LHATSE

Drive To Gyantse Via Yamdrok Lake And Continue To Shigatse And Lhatse. Hotel In Gyantse. Guest House/Tent At Lhatse.

Day 8-10DRIVE SAGA - DONGBA - MANASAROVAR

Drive West Over The Tibetan Highlands Following The Great Zangpo River To Lake Manasarovar And Darchen Situated Below The Mount Kailash. Guest Houses Or Tents.

Day 11LAKE MANASAROVAR

Rest And Exploration Day At Lake Manasarovar. Tents.

Day 12-15AROUND MOUNT KAILASH TREK

Drive To Darchen And Start 3-Day Trek Around Mt. Kailash Crossing Droma La Pass And Visiting Drira Puk & Zuthulpuk Cave Temples. Tents.

Day 16-20Drive To Kathmandu. Overnight Hotel.

Day 21After Breakfast Sightseeing Tour Of Bhaktapur, Bhaktapur Durar Square And City Sightseeing.

Day 22After Beakfast Transfer To International Airport For Departure.
