12 Day Pikey Peak Trek

For Great Views of Mount Everest

Mount Everest is the crown jewel of a range of numerous 8000+ meter (26,000+ feet) snow-covered peaks. The area is a paradise for the mountaineer, the trekker, the photographer, the adventurer and any lover of raw, powerful nature.

This journey explores one of the most famous regions of the world lower Everest region of Nepal. It is one of the most popular trekking trails of the Everest region nearest from Kathmandu (less discovered) and one of the lower elevation viewpoints to see the Mt. Everest (8,848m).

This trek is renowned for its sunrise and sunset and magnificent views of the Himalayan range of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjungha, Gauri Shankar, Lhotse Shar, Numbur, Khatang, Karyalung, Annapurna, Nuptse, Amadablam, Shishapangma, Thamserku and Mera peak etc.

Great Himalayan views with TrekandTours

The main highlight of this trail is observing local monasteries; to explore spiritual paths, to observe different culture, languages, lifestyle of the Sherpa, Tamang, and Magar’s. The dramatic scenery of mountains, Buddhist Stupas, Landscape, Himalayan floras and faunas including Rhododendrons, ancient monasteries and splendid high-altitude vegetation are some of the main attraction of this trail.

Your adventure starts in the colourful, chaotic, magical and utterly fascinating city of Kathmandu. Accompanied by a local guide, you will explore various temples, and wander through bazaars that are likely different from anything you have ever experienced. As you wander through narrow streets and alleys, you will sample the local cuisine and have the opportunity to bargain with merchants and artisans who are keen to sell their exotic items.

The following day your trip starts from Kathmandu with a very scenic and adventurous drive that takes around 7 hours to Dhap Bazaar.

Participants on this trek will get to enjoy many of the awe-inspiring views that Hillary and other mountaineers have seen without being subjected to the physical traumas and dangers that they endured. Fully supported by experienced Sherpa guides and porters.
