Mt. Kailash Tour

Day 1Arrive Kathmandu. Hotel overnight.

Day 2After breakfast sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath, and Boudhnath and Patan, Patan Durbar Square.

Day 3Drive Kathmandu to Nyalam in Tibet (3750m). Guest House.

Day 4Stay at Nyalam for acclamatization. Optional hike around Nyalam. Guest House.

Day 5Drive across the Himalayas to Saga (4600m). Guest House.

Day 6Drive along the Tibetan highlands Paryang (4750m). Guest House.

Day 7Drive westard to Lake Manasarovar and continue to Chui Gompa (4560m) on the shores of the holy Lake. Camp or Guest House.

Day 8Puja and holy dip in Lake Mansarovar. Rest of the morning free to visit Chui Gompa, explore the shores of the lake or visit hot spring. Drive to Darchen (4560m). Guest House in Darchen.

Day 9Day in Darchen. Drive to Serlung Monastery and optional trek to Asthapath for a close-up view of Mt. Kailash. Overnight Guest House at Darchen.

Day 10Drive approx 13 Kms from Darchen to Tarboche, the trek starting point of Kailash Parikarma. Trek to Dira Puk (4775m). Camp or Guest House.

Day 11Continue Parikarma trek over Dolma La Pass (5650m) to Zuthul Puk cave temple (4700m). Camp or Guest House.

Day 12The Kailash trek ends today near Darchen. Drive to Paryang (4750m). Guest House.

Day 13Drive to Saga (4600m). Guest House.

Day 14Drive to Nyalam (3750m). Guest House.

Day 15Drive downhill to the Friendship Bridge at the Nepal-Tibet border where transportation awaits for the final leg of journey to Kathmandu. Hotel overnight.

Day 16After breakfast sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, Bhaktapur Durar Square and city sightseeing.

Day 17After breakfast transfer to International airport for departure.
