2 Day Nagarkot Trip
Nagarkot (2170m) is a quiet and scenic hilltop about 32 km from Kathmandu, very popular as a mountain
viewpoint. One can see the panorama of the Himalayas including Mt Everest from Nagarkot. The sunrise
and sunset on the Himalayas seen from this hill will be a lifetime memory for many. The 4-hour hike starts at the
Newari town of Sankhu. We pass the uphill trail through scattered villages and farmlands and reach Nagarkot
early afternoon. The hike on the second day from Nagarkot to Changunarayan is through a forested ridgeline
with superb views of villages and mountains. Changunarayan is Nepal’s oldest temple built on the 5th century .It
is a UNESCO declared world heritage sites.

Day 1Drive from Kathmandu for about 1.5 hour for Sankhu and hike to Nagarkot (approx 4 hour)
Overnight Nagarkot
Day 2Early morning view the sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast hike hike to Changunarayan, Sightseeing tour of Changunarayan, after sightseeing transfer to Kathmandu.
